Reimagined
Scottish Craft

Sgian Dubhs, Quaichs and Accessories handmade by Faulks Metal and available to buy online.
Looking for a Sgian Dubh that stands out? Or a wedding present to remember? Find Reimagined Scottish objects that feel authentically and playfully Scottish.
Leah Faulks is an interdisciplinary maker and researcher bringing contemporary relevance to Scottish heritage objects as an alternative method of preservation.
Leah specialises in the craft of contemporary Sgian Dubhs and Quaichs.
Challenging the mass-reproduction of traditional objects, Leah integrates traditional and digital craft skills to encourage conversation. Technology is used as a tool to explore the object, never replacing handcraft skills.
Bringing together Thinking-Through-Making, historical research and engagement with the craft sector, Leah is not content with making objects. She intends to expand the field of Scottish heritage crafts to become more contemporary, inclusive and authentic.
Leah is a Licentiate of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
She is currently studying for her MA in Craft at Edinburgh College of Art, and was awarded a Bachelor of Design with First Class Honours from the University of Dundee in 2024.
