The Tartan-ish illustrations were created to inform the patterns and forms of my designs. They are an abstrated impression of traditional tartan, with a focus on free flowing lines that escape the traditionally strict grid of the cloth. These illustrations are still founded in Scottish heritage, but push the rules of tradition in favour of playfulness.
